Shalom Church organises charity show

The Seventh Day Sabbath Church of Christ, Shalom, has donated large quantity of items to 70 groups at its 16th charity show at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

The items included 3000 pieces of clothes, robes, footwear, gallons of oil, bags of rice and maize, provisions, soap and detergents, bowls and wheel chairs.

The items were shared to orphanage homes, Akim Oda and Abetifi Community Health Nurses Training Schools, widows and physically challenged persons.

Apostle Ephraim Kwaku Danso, General Overseer of the church, said the theme for the show was: “It has no reason to exist unless the church fulfils its evangelical and charity mission.”

He said the church is committed to work to ensure national peace process and promote a healthy economy.

Apostle Danso admonished the public to embrace the physically challenged and offer every assistance to them.

Nana Baffour Afisah III, Krontihene of Akwatia thanked the church for the donation and appealed to other churches to do likewise to support the nation.
