Several voting locations moving smoothly – CODEO

Voting is progressing steadily at the various polling stations across the country in the ongoing presidential and parliamentary elections, according to the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO).

In a press briefing in Accra a while ago, Co-Chair of CODEO, Prof. V.C.R.A.C Crabbe said the electoral process has so far been impressive, though there have been cases of “missing names” and mix-ups at some polling stations.

Justice Crabbe says CODEO has close to 8,000 observers on the ground and would continue to give regular updates on the electoral process.

About 15.8 million Ghanaians are expected to vote at 29,000 polling stations across the country to elect a President and 275 parliamentarians.

Media reports suggest the exercise has so far been peaceful.
