Seven communities in Nangodi Paramountcy lack water

Nangodi, (UE) March 16, GNA – Seven communities in the Talensi-Nabdam District, Upper East Region, have appealed to Mr Moses Asaga, Member of Parliament (MP) for the area to assist them with eight boreholes or pipe borne water.

The communities include Zoya, Kalinneg, Techiman, Saleog-yapaala, Wenambii, Kalineg-ndan and Nakpalig-Zoya respectively. Mr Maxwell Kparib, assemblyman-elect of the Nangodi Electoral area, made the appeal at a meeting with residents of the seven communities in Nangodi, on Wednesday.

He said apart from the Nangodi Town, which had potable water, the other communities had no safe water for human consumption and none also for their livestock. He appealed to the MP, the Talensi Nabdam District Assembly and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) operating in the area to assist the seven communities and also provide the Nangodi Town with a public toilet to serve strangers there. 16 March 11
