Self-discipline should be hallmark of youth – NCCE

Mr Wilberforce Zangina, Afigya-Kwabre District Director of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has admonished the youth to strive for self-discipline.

He said self-discipline is the foundation for success in every human endeavour.

Mr Zangina was speaking at the end of the District’s NCCE National Citizenship Week celebration at Kodie the District capital.

“One Ghana, the role of each individual to effect change,” was the nationwide theme with “Social indiscipline” as a sub theme.

The Commission visited 26 basic schools in the District including Afrancho, Aduamoa, Danase, Akrowa, Nkwanta-Kese, Bomso, and Kodie Primary and Junior High Schools during the week.

Mr Zangina advised the children to be law-abiding, protect public property and respect those practicing other religions.

He advised them to be time-conscious, learn hard and cease from examination malpractices since there is no short cuts to success.

The District Director asked them that to report crime, corruption and other criminal activities for the appropriate action to be taken against them by the authorities.
