Seikwa Chief, Nana Gyimah Ankoana, has been assassinated in the Tain Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region.
XYZ News gathers that Nana Ankoana was shot around 8pm on Monday while he relaxed at home.
He was hit in the chest and died while being taken to the hospital.
Nana Ankoana has recently come under intense pressure and opposition from some people within the municipality.
A few cars were torched in his residence recently.
Police in the Municipality have opened investigations into the alleged assassination.
The whole town has gone “dead”, according to XYZ’s regional Correspondent Michael Mfum Sarpong.
