Security taskforce for Sunyani Municipality inaugurated

Sunyani (B/A), Sep. 12, GNA – A ten-member security taskforce, formed to ensure peace and order in the Sunyani Municipality before, during and after the 2008 Election, was inaugurated on Friday in Sunyani. Chief Superintendent Charles Botwe, the Municipal Police Commander, is chairman and coordinator of the team and Mr. Gyamfi Amenyaw is Secretary. Mr. I. K. Amankwah, an official at the Municipal Assembly, inaugurated the taskforce on behalf of Mr.Twumasi Awuah, the Municipal Chief Executive. Mr Amankwah urged members of the taskforce to work assiduously to ensure peace and order during the polls. Mr Amankwah called on the people to report any electoral malpractices to the security agencies instead of rushing to the radio stations. He appealed to political parties and their supporters to support the taskforce to enable it accomplish its task. 12 Sept 08
