Secondary Technical School to be upgraded

Asankrangwa (W/R), Dec 14, GNA – Secondary/Technical schools would be upgraded under a government programme, Mr. Anthony Evans Amoah, Western Regional Minister, has said.

He said this on Wednesday when he and the Deputy Regional Minister, Mr. Kwesi Blay, paid a courtesy call on Nana Anyani Buadum 111, Chief of Asankrangwa.

He said schools and a regional durbar grounds would be constructed to commemorate the country’s 50th anniversary celebration. Mr. Andrew Appiah, the stool secretary, appealed to the government to provide the area with potable water and public places of convenience. Mr Amoah told students of Asankrangwa Secondary School to refrain from indulging in occultism.

Mr. Joseph Bagbin, the Headmaster of the school, said the school lacked an assembly hall. Mr Amoah also visited the Asankrangwa Secondary Technical School and the Swizz Lumber Company Limited at Manso Amenfi. 14 Dec 06
