Scouts donate to flood victims at Walewale

Walewale (N/R), Jan. 20, GNA – The Ghana Scout Association led by the Chief Commissioner, Mr. Isaac Newton Addy, has donated relief items to members of the association in three communities in Northern Region that were affected by the recent flood.

The communities are Duu, Kpasenkpe and Noduwa in Walewale District and were presented with school uniforms, textbooks, chalk, scarves and mosquito repellents worth 150 million cedis at separate ceremonies. Miss. Jemima Nartey, Deputy Chief Commissioner, presented the items and said the donation formed part of its social responsibilities towards the people especially now that they are in need of help. The District Chief Executive of Walewale, Mr. Musa Issa, expressed his gratitude to the association for the items.
