Samson Panpanso appeals for police protection

Nana Francis Atiemo Akuffo II, Acting Gyaasehene and the people of Samson Panpanso near Teachermante, have appealed to the Inspector General of Police to beef up security in the area.

Nana Atiemo Akuffto told the Ghana News Agency at the Akwasidae festival by the people of Samson Panpanso that some thugs with guns and other offensive weapons are harassing farmers, preventing them from going to their farms.

He said a land measuring about 850 acres was acquired by their ancestors from the people of Apadwa which falls in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area and was duly signed by their forefathers with its proper documentations.

Nana Atiemo Akuffo said he was amazed when some unknown uniformed groups of people invaded the community leading to the murder of a farmer.

Nana Akuffo said the people are frightened by the death of the farmer and are therefore finding it difficult to about their normal duties.
