SAEMA to re-settle used cloths and shoe dealers after March 6

Sekondi, Feb. 16, GNA – The Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly (SAEMA) would re-settle second hand cloth and shoe dealers in and around Takoradi Central Market at the Apremdo Market after the 50th Independence Anniversary parade on March 6.

Mr. John Latse, the Public Relations Officer of SAEMA, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Sekondi.

He said the sellers would have no cause to stay at their old sites in and around the Central Market because the assembly has provided all the facilities requested by the dealers for their re-settlement at the Apremdo Market.

The assembly has provided security lights at the Apremdo Market at a cost of 110 million cedis as demanded by the traders. The assembly has given out seven stores to the second hand dealers as temporary warehouses while a private developer is constructing a permanent warehouse.

Mr. Latse said the assembly has also built four places of convenience and a bus terminal at the market.
