Rural banks in Awutu to increase development package

Awutu-Beraku, Sept. 7, GNA – The boards and management of the Awutu Emassa and Bawjiase rural banks, in the Awutu-Effutu-Senya District of the Central Region, are collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the holistic development of the District.

The two banks announced this at two separate meetings, to spell out their development objectives for the fiscal year.

According to Mr John Kofi Anomah, Manager of Emassa Rural Bank, last year, the Bank spent 4.3 million cedis on scholarship schemes for brilliant but needy students and other development packages. Mr Augustine George I Yankey, Manager of the Bawjiase Rural Bank, said the financial institution spent 19 million cedis on scholarships last year.
