RPD congratulates Nana Akufo-Addo

The Reformed Patriotic Democrats (RPD) has congratulated Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his election as the fifth President of the fourth Republic of Ghana.

Mr. Kwabena Adjei, leader and founder of the party described Nana Akufo-Addo’s election victory as resounding and a reflection of the choice of the people who are yearning for positive change.

The party leader noted that the NPP flagbearer’s rise from three consecutive bids since 2008 has been spectacular and a source of inspiration to up and coming politicians and hoped Nana Akufo-Addo would live his promise as father of the nation and unify the country.

Convinced that Nana Akufo-Addo is the right choice to handle the ills in the officialdom, Mr. Adjei declared total support for the new administration with the expectation that the president-elect would be committed to righting the wrongs in the system for the benefit of the Ghanaian populace.

He noted in a statement issued in Kumasi that incorruptible as he (Nana Addo) is, he expected the new administration to relentlessly tackle the canker of corruption that has plagued the system and help ameliorate economic hardships facing the people and promote development.

Mr. Adjei also known as Bambaata hoped Nana Akufo-Addo would form a government of selfless and dedicated people for an accelerated economic growth and ensure the much desired change for the people.

The RPD leader noted that Nana Akufo-Addo’s election at this time was to enable him contribute to the growth of democracy in Ghana with his rich experience in governance and hoped he would be committed and dedicated to the cause and take Ghana to the next level.
