Rotary club of Kumasi assists Kumasi Girls with water

Kumasi, Dec 01, GNA – The Rotary club of Kumasi has inaugurated a 25 million-cedi hand-dug well fitted with pump for the Kumasi Girls Secondary School.

The facility, which had financial support from the Rotary Club of Langley Park, United Kingdom, will help provide uninterrupted water supply to the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Kofi Addo, President of the club, said Rotary club of Kumasi has, over the years, assisted many schools and communities with water and other projects. The club had also assisted in the establishment of a plastic surgery centre at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital to assist people with deformities.

Mrs Margaret Baah, the headmistress of the school, thanked the club for the donation.
