Road Accidents are not caused by witches – Apostle Adotey

Koforidua, Jan. 15, GNA – The President of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, Apostle John Annan Adotey, has noted that road accidents are not caused by witches but rather indiscipline on the part of drivers.

He therefore urged the law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to be alive to their duties, saying negligence to their obligations had resulted to indiscipline in the country.

“The law enforcement agencies are not working; the laws are there, it is left unto them to enforce them.”

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Apostle Adotey said the whole country was afflicted with indiscipline, adding that it was this situation that was causing the numerous road accidents.

“It is pure and simple; there is indiscipline on the part of drivers and pedestrians,” he stressed.

He said many drivers felt that that they were not regulated by road rules and could do anything that pleased them.

Apostle Adotey entreated all road users, especially drivers to respect road rules and signs to insulate the roads against accidents. He also implored the police to be extra vigilant to make sure all vehicles are roadworthy before they are allowed to ply the road.
