Revenue collectors attend workshop

Techiman (B/A), Nov. 6, GNA – A two-day revenue mobilization workshop for 56 revenue collectors drawn from urban, town and area councils in the Techiman District has ended.

Organized by the Cooperative League of United States of America (CLUSA) of the Government Accountability Improves Trust (GAIT), the workshop aimed at sharpening the skills of the collectors in revenue mobilization.

Mr Solomon Mensah-Aborampah, CLUSA District Programme Facilitator, called on the collectors to ensure the maximization of revenue collection from the markets and other sources. He asked the collectors to form task forces to effectively mobilize revenue to supplement Government’s efforts in the execution of projects in their areas.

The facilitator urged them to exhibit competence and to behave as productive revenue collectors to be able to identify the basic problems that confront revenue mobilization.
