Rev. Canon Hammond installed Archdeacon of Larteh

Right Reverend Francis Benjamin Quashie, Anglican Bishop of Koforidua Diocese, on Sunday installed Reverend Canon Jacob Nii Ayi Hammond as the fourth Archdeacon of the Larteh Archdeaconry of the Anglican Church.

Rev. Canon Hammond, who is also to serve as the parish priest of Larteh St Augustine Anglican Church was until his new appointment the parish priest of Nkawkaw Saint Stephens Anglican Church.

Preaching his first sermon after the installation, Rev. Canon Hammond promised to run an open administration and urged the people to offer suggestions towards the development of the Archdeaconry.

He said all suggestions would be given due consideration.

The Anglican Church in Larteh which would be 100 years in August became an Archdeaconry of the Koforidua Diocese in 1997.
