Return NPP into power to continue its development agenda

Atobiase (Ash), March 15, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for New Edubiase, Mr De-Graft Kyei-Baffour, has said the government had provided development projects to help raise living standards of the people especially in the Adansi South District, adding that it was an ample testimony for Ghanaians to return the Party to power. Speaking during his interactions with the people at Atobiase, near New Edubiase on Friday, Mr Kyei-Baffour urged the people to reject the National Democratic Congress and rather vote for him and Nana Akufo-Addo in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections to enable the NPP continue the development of the constituency. “As an assemblyman for the past 12 years, I know of the problems confronting the people and capable of addressing them better when in parliament.”

Mr Kyei-Baffour, an educationist, said priority would be liaising with non-governmental bodies and stakeholders to raise education standards of pupils and students through awards of scholarships, especially in deprived communities. He said he would champion the establishment of a first vocational/technical school to train school dropouts in skills to benefit them in future and see to the upgrading of the New Edubiase Senior High School into a model institution. Touched by the plight of school children who walked through a stream to the other end of the community to attend classes, Mr Kyei-Baffour donated GH¢200 for the construction of a wooden bridge to avoid any disaster during rainfall. Mr Adansi Gyimah, member of Mr Kyei-Baffour’s campaign team, advised people who have attained the age of 18 years and above to register when the voters’ register opens to enable them exercise their franchise. The aspiring MP also interacted with the people at Aworoso, Amudurase, Ataase, Apagya and Praso. 15 Mar. 08
