Reshape road diversion – Contractor urged

Mankessim, Aug 25, GNA – Drivers plying Mankessim-Accra have appealed to the contractor working on the Gomoa Mprumem-Kasoa road to reshape portions of the diversion, which are in a bad shape. Making the appeal through GNA at Mankessim on Tuesday, Mr Kwesi Baffoe, the spokesman for the drivers expressed regret that the contractor, TAISEI, had allowed portions, especially from the Winneba Junction to Okeyreko to detoriate.

Mr Baffoe said for the fear of damaging their vehicles, a number of commercial drivers had removed their vehicles from the road, a situation, which was creating inconvenience to travellers leading to queues at Mankessim and along the route to Kasoa.

He said that even though they appreciated the good work of the contractor they appealed that portions, which had detoriated would be reshaped periodically.
