Rector calls for re-dedication and teamwork

Kumasi, Oct. 12, GNA=96 Professor Nicholas Nicodemus Nana Nsowah-Nuamah= , Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic (K-poly), has encouraged the Deans of Facultie= s and Heads of Department, to unite and rededicate themselves to the task of making the polytechnic a world class institution. They should be faithful, truthful, exhibit humility and create cordial relations with all interest groups on campus.

This, he said, would undoubtedly promote peaceful co-existence- a pre-requisite for effective and efficient academic work. Prof Nsowah-Nuamah made the call at the handing-over ceremony to usher into office the new Vice Rector, Deans of Faculties and Heads of Department in Kumasi on Tuesday. Mr George Owusu-Dapaah is the new Vice Rector and takes over from Mr Eric Brobbey. Directors of newly introduced faculties and institutes including the Institutes for Distance and Continued Education, Entrepreneurial and Enterprise Development, School of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovation and Faculties of Applied Sciences, Medical and Allied Health Science, Building and Natural Environment and Creative Arts and Technology were presented to the gathering. Prof Nsowah-Nuamah praised the outgoing Deans and Heads of Department for their dedicated services and contribution to the overall growth and image of the institution. He said he was confident that the incoming ones would work assiduousl= y to enhance teaching and learning. He called on the students and all other interest groups on campus to cooperate with the new officials for smooth running of the academic calendar.
