Recalcitrant Driver Sentenced For Traffic Offences

Hohoe, Nov 5, GNA – A Hohoe Magistrate Court has sentenced Vincent Ahiave, a driver, to a fine of GHC 200 for various traffic offences. Ahiave, who pleaded guilty to driving without valid license, failing to produce a fire extinguisher and warning triangle, was sentenced accordingly by Mr Stanislaus Amanopoi, the presiding judge. Police Inspector, Vincent Amewovi, told the court that Ahiave was arrested by the Police personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit on duty on the Hohoe-Lolobi road segment.

He said an inspection of his Astra Opel with registration GR 6257 X revealed that he did not have the above-mention items. Inpector Amewovi said t driver was arrested and subsequently processed for court.
