Real Name of ?Hotel Kufuor’ is …

Weeks of painstaking investigations by the Daily Dispatch have revealed the actual name of the hotel popularly known as ? Hotel Kufuor.

The legal name of the hotel in question is Airport West Hospitality.

So far (as at close of business last Friday, June, 3, 2005) two banks, National Investment Bank (NIB) and the Prudential Bank, owed a total of 40% shares in the company. The NIB has 17.5% and Prudential 22.5%.

The consortium – put together by Mr. John Kufuor (a.k.a Chief Kufuor), son of President John Kufuor and which includes a South African company – has about 55% with the remaining 5% to be taken up by another bank expected to join the two banks.

Further enquiries have revealed that the two banks, NIB and Prudential have put in a total of US$3.7million.
