Rainstorm destroys property at Bonte

Bonte (B/A), Sept 18, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) at Nkoranza has provided three tents for three families who were hit by a rainstorm last week. A rainstorm hit the area and ripped the roofs of about 15 houses and displaced about 200 residents.

Mr Acheampong Benson, Nkoranza District NADMO Co-ordinator, expressed regret about the plight of the victims and said the organisation was working for more relief items.

Nana Krobea Asante Sarpong, chief of Bonte whose new three-bedroom house at the roofing stage was destroyed in the rainstorm, commended the NADMO for its quick intervention.

Mr Samuel Akuna, out-going Assembly Member expressed gratitude to NADMO for their prompt attention.
