Rainstorm causes damage at Topreman

Topreman (E/R), March 2, GNA – Severe rainstorm has caused havoc at Topreman in the Kwaebibirem District, ripping off roofs of homes and schools.. The storm ripped off the roof of the Presbyterian “B” school block, badly affecting primary four to six classrooms. It also blew off the roofs of about 30 houses and damaged some of th= em. The Head teacher of the school, Miss Hannah Kumiwaa Duodu, said the disaster had disrupted normal academic work and appealed for urgent steps= to repair the damage caused for normal classes to resume. Miss Duodu called for assistance from the church, the district assembly, the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), individu= als and organizations to facilitate the restoration of normal classes.
