The pumpkins Foundation, a child-focused charity organisation on June 20, 2017, made a donation to ‘Save Them Young orphanage’ home in Ashaiman.

Some of the items donated includes shoes, clothes, diapers and many others.

Television personality and Executive Director of pumpkins foundation, Mrs. Baisiwa Dowuona Hammond called on the inhabitants of the orphanage to imbue in themselves the spirit of selflessness and volunteerism.

Mrs. Dowuona Hammond stated that the pumpkins Foundation is excited to be assisting ‘Save them young orphanage’ and the foundation looks forward to more of such donations in the future as they wish to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the inmates.

Administrator of the orphanage, Mr. Alfred thanked the Foundation for its generosity. He further drew the foundation’s attention to the challenges facing the orphanage.

This he said includes bed bugs, inadequate supply of potable drinking water and lack of a bed for the children.

He made a general appeal to the public to assist in raising the less privileged in the society.
