PSWU elects national officers for a four year term

Accra, Dec. 15, GNA -Five, out of the seven member National Executive Committee of the Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of the TUC were re-elected to their positions at the end of its Sixth Regular Quadrennial Delegates’ Conference held in Kumasi at the week-end. A statement issued in Accra on Monday and signed by Mr A.T.D. Okine, General Secretary, who was also re-elected were, Mr Samuel Mensah-Nyarko, re-elected National Chairman.

The statement said the elected officers were also sworn into office for the next four-year term at the Conference, attended by 131 delegates and 250 observers.

It said Mr David K. Kudowor, National Vice Chairman, was returned unopposed while Mrs Georgina Opoku Amankwa was elected the National Woman Vice Chairperson.

The statement said Mr Emmanuel T. Ofori was elected Deputy General Secretary while Mr Daniel Arhin-Sam and Mrs Alberta Anita Adjei were returned unopposed as the first and second national trustees. It said three other National Audit Committee members elected were, Mr Joseph Nap Attivie, Reverend Manfred Wedam and Mr Joseph Akayume Anamoo.

They were sworn into office by Mr Alex Bonni, National Chairman of the TUC.
