Prophetess presents computers, other items to school

Kumasi, Oct. 17, GNA – Prophetess Theresa, founder and leader of God’s Church of Peace, at the weekend presented 10 computers and accessories worth about 57 million cedis to the Peace Preparatory and Junior Secondary School at Aboabo Number One Extension in Kumasi. The computers are to facilitate the study of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the school.

The presentation brought to 20 the number of computers in the school’s laboratory.

They were purchased by the London branch of the Church following an appeal made by the mother Church in Kumasi. The London branch also added toys for the kindergarten and clothes for the teachers to motivate them to give of their best.

Presenting the items to the school, Prophetess Theresa said the church had acquired land at Gyinyase in the Kumasi metropolis to construct permanent buildings for the school.

She charged the teachers to instil discipline into the children for them to grow up to become useful citizens. The prophetess expressed the hope that the items would assist the school in the training of the pupils in ICT.

Mr Daniel Ankomah, Vice-Chairman of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), who received the items on behalf of the Board of Governors and management of the school, said it was not the first time that Prophetess Theresa had donated items to the school.

He also commended the London branch of the church for the computers and promised that the administration would take very good care of them. Mr Abdulaziz Sanni, chairman of the PTA, also expressed appreciation to the Church for the donation and hoped that she would continue to assist the school.
