Government has released a programme of activities to mark the tenth anniversary of the fourth republic and the second anniversary of the Kufuor administration which falls on January 7. The celebrations, under the theme ”Consolidating Ghana’s democracy through peace, unity and development”, will begin on Friday with Islamic prayers nationwide.
It will be followed by a night of music and fireworks to be held at the Independence Square on Saturday. This will be followed on Sunday, by Christian services nationwide.
Other activities include a People’s Assembly at which ordinary Ghanaians will have an opportunity to question senior government officials as well as a photo exhibition of projects in the Regional and district capitals.
