“FORTHIEVES” DEMONSTRATION TRAIN IN TAKORADI
The next demonstration to be organized by the Public Action Against Corruption and Abuse (P.A.A.C.A) is to take off in the historic city of Takoradi on Saturday 1st March.
So far, indications are clear that it would be one of the most well organized demonstrations in recent history, with local organizers working hard on the ground.
So far, P.A. A. C. A has officially written to the Ghana Police Service in the Western Region, for the upcoming peaceful demonstration in Takoradi, on Saturday, 1st March, 2014.
The controversial sale of Merchant Bank to Equity fund, Fortiz, which attracted demonstrations on the streets of Accra, Kumasi and Koforidua, dubbed, SAY NO TO ‘FORTHIEVES’ is expected to continue in the Western Region, Takoradi, on Saturday, 1st March, 2014.
Participants are expected to assemble at the Jubilee Park at 7:00 am. Procession will begin at 8:00am to Star Hotel to the Market Circle to Stanbic to UBA traffic light to New Takoradi roundabout to All Needs to GCB traffic light to Central Police Station to Akroma Plazza to Beach road roundabout to Paa Grant to NIB traffic light and finally end at the Jubilee Park, where members of the public would be addressed.
Issues such as Fuel increment, misuse of Oil Money, Water Crises, Bad Roads and Demolition exercises in the Takoradi Municipality would be addressed.
All media houses and the general public are cordially invited to march on with P.A.A.C.A on the 1st March.
