President Mahama arrives in Turkey

President Mahama arrived in Ankara, Turkey on Monday for a three-day state visit to the country.

He was met at the Ankara airport by the Minister for National Defence, Ismet Yilmaz and other officials of state.

President Mahama later inaugurated a new chancery for the Ghana Mission in Ankara.

At the ceremony was the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, Ms Hanna Tetteh and General J. H. Smith (Rtd.)

He will on Tuesday hold discussions with the Turkish President, Abdullah Gül, in the Presidential Palace and later co-chair bilateral discussions between Ghana and Turkey.

President Mahama will also meet with the Prime Minister of Turkey, attend a state dinner in his honour before moving to Instanbul for the next leg of the visit.
