Accra, April 20, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday received a special message from President Theodoro Obien Nguema Mbasongo of Equatorial Guinea at the Castle, Osu.
Details of the message delivered by Mr Jose Esono Micna, Foreign Minister of Equatorial Guinea, were not disclosed but were believed to centre on bilateral issues between the two countries. President Kufuor thanked President Mbasongo for the message and said the contents would be studied well.
President Kufuor, recently, had to order the Ghana Air Force and Navy to proceed to Equatorial Guinea to evacuate Ghanaians and other Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) nationals, who were being harassed by the security agencies of the that country.
