President appoints new ministers

President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mr. Anthony Gyambiby as the new Deputy Attorney General and deputy Minister designate for Justice.

It is however not clear if the current deputy Attorney General Barton Oduro will be moved to another ministry or has been shown the exit.

Mr. Kwadwo Owusu-Agyeman has also been appointed the deputy Minister designate for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

In a statement signed by the secretary to the President, J.K Bebaako Mensah, President Mills also confirmed Major-General Carl Modey, as the Commissioner for Customs, Excise and Preventive Service.

Mr. Carl Modey has been acting in that position for some time.

This is President Mills’ second deputy ministerial appointments ahead of the December Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
