Presbyterian Church Ends Annual Retreat

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana is today ending its five – day Annual Ministers Conference for its reverend ministers at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The conference which started last Monday has brought together Reverend ministers of the Presbyterian church from all over the country to deliberate on issues relevant to the development of the church in the country.

In an interaction with focus news, Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong- the General Secretary of the conference states that the programme is meant to assess the performance of the Presbyterian Ministers over the previous year and also set goals for the new year.

According to him, the retreat takes into consideration a broad range of issues that might be affecting the church and its ministers at any given time. He says issues of spiritual, physical and even medical concerns regarding reverend ministers are all brought to the fore and dealt with.

He adds that if the Reverend Minister is in a good position to function at his optimum, then members of the church will also benefit.

Asked whether there has been any assessment of the impact of this annual retreat on the ministers as well as the church, he answered in the affirmative.
