Pregnant women, babies die in gory Atebubu accident

Eight people including two pregnant women and two babies have lost their lives in a gruesome motor crash at Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region.

The crash involved two vehicles in a head-on collision on the Atebubu-Mampong highway when an Opel Astra spurt its tyre and run into the other, the Atebubu District Police commander Chief Superintendent Joseph Atsu Dzineku confirmed to Starr News.

According to him, the accident occurred at a popular spot known as Dzato Zongo.

The body of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue while four others who sustained injuries have been receiving treatment at the Atebubu Government Hospital.
