Pray for peace in Ghana, Muslims told

Takoradi, Sept. 30, GNA – Mr. Anthony E. Amoah, Western Regional Minister, said all Muslims must pray and work towards peace in the country before, during and after the December general elections. He said peace was a vital ingredient for the survival of any nation and its people and appealed to all to work towards it. Mr. Amoah said this at a prayer service to climax the Eid Ul Fitr at Takoradi. He appealed to Muslims to set good examples by living in peace with each other. Shiek Mohammed Awal, Takoradi Imam, said the 30-day fast was meant for both a spiritual and physical reason and added that “Let us not forget that cheerful alms giving is an essential part of the Muslim religion.”
