PPP disowns member who threatened Supreme Court Judges

Progressive People’s Party (PPP), has disowned Alistair Nelson who’s reported to have threatened the lives of judges in the country on Montie FM.

Speaking to GhanaPoliticsOnline.com , Divine Nkrumah, who is the National Youth Organizer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), said PPP has seen reports on social media – linking one Alistair Nelson (who is alleged to have threatened the lives of Supreme Court judges) as a member of the party (PPP) but that is absolutely false because, Alistair Nelson left PPP a year ago.

“The man in question used to be a member of PPP and a year back, he said he’s no longer with the party. So why do you even affiliate him to the party when there are troubles? We don’t know him, and you can ask him if he’s a PPP member. If he says yes, then we can speak from there” Mr. Nkrumah reacted.

Though Mr. Nelson has already apologized to the Ghana Bar Association GBA and management of Montie FM for the unfortunate development, the National Youth Organizer said it’s too early to go into details of his threat and that the party is still assessing the issue and will release a statement on it.
