Police worried over security of companies

Accra, Nov. 2, GNA – The Accra Regional Police Command on Friday expressed concern about companies which haul huge sums of money to and from the metropolis without any security protection saying it put the companies at high risk.

A statement in Accra from the Regional Police Command said it would be very difficult for the police to offer adequate security and assistance in the event of any attack.

The statement signed by Inspector Kwaku Dompreh of the Public Affairs Unit, asked such companies to contact the nearest police station or regional police headquarters for the necessary arrangements for police protection before embarking on such money collection exercises.
