Police warn Sunyani residents on criminals

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Commander has advised residents in the Sunyani Municipality to be security cautions to prevent attacks by criminals.

A press statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, Regional Police Public Relations Officer and copied the Ghana News Agency on Thursday in Sunyani said criminals had taken advantage of power outages in the Municipality and therefore attacking people in some parts of Sunyani.

The statement noted some unscrupulous persons hid in dark corners and obscure places to rob people of their monies, mobile phones and other valuables.

It therefore cautioned the general public not to move alone in dark areas and dangerous paths and assured that the Police had adopted measures to clamp down on such criminals to ensure peace in the Municipality.
