Police picks up ‘fake’ AIDS ambassador Dzidzor Mensah

The embattled former AIDS ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has been picked up by the Police CID, StarrFMonline.com has gathered.

It’s unclear what has provoked her invitation.

She is currently being interrogated at the CID headquarters, according to PRO of the Police CID ASP Joseph Benefo Darkwa.

The 27-year-old mother of two, who had been an Ambassador for the Ghana Aids Commission (GAC) in the fight against discrimination against people living with HIV, recently told News-One that she never tested positive for the disease.

Per the AIDS Commission’s regulations, only HIV-positive persons can be Ambassadors in the “Heart to Heart” campaign.

Dzidzor Mensah, who confessed to faking her status just to help in the national fight against discrimination against persons living with HIV status, said she is sorry for deceiving the country.

A meeting between her and the AIDS Commission ended inconclusively in December 2014.
