Police officer arrested for defiling girl, 15

A Police officer in the Wa Municipality in the Upper West region has been arrested for allegedly defiling a class 5 pupil in the Mangu electoral area.

The yet to be identified officer prior to the alleged act reportedly beat up two young children including the victim he defiled.

He threatened to beat onlookers who pleaded on behalf of his victims.

The plain cloth officer allegedly dragged his female victim while flogging her to the Methodist school in the community where he forcefully had sex with the 15-year-old.

He is currently in custody and would be arraigned before a court in the coming days.
