Police intensify search for criminals

Suhum (E/R), Sept 2, GNA – The police at Suhum have launched a search for criminals who have invaded the town and its surrounding areas and stole electric wires and metres belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Police sources told the GNA that the criminals also passengers at night at the lorry station.

”At times the criminals go to the villages and harass the people and take away their belongings including fowls, goats and cocoa beans,” the police source said.

The source said on August 20 thieves invaded the District Chief Executive’s bungalow at Suhum and stole all the electricity wires and some metres kept in the compound.
