Police discover stolen items in the bush

Hohoe, Aug 15, GNA – Police at Gbi-Bla are looking for thieves who dumped stolen goods in the bush with a view to retrieving them later.

Police Chief Inspector Appiah Ntori told the GNA that the items, mostly electrical appliances belonging one Mr Joseph Akabuah, were stolen from his bungalow on August 7.

He said an informant told the police that he saw three men transporting the items into the bush behind the Saint Francis College of Education.

In a related development, members of the Christian Youth Organisation (CYO) of Togo-Kpalime who were guests at the ordination of priests in Hohoe had their apartment at Bla-Agordome burgled by thieves on August 8.

They made away with laptops, mobiles phones, MP3 players, memory cards and 7,000 CFA.

According to the police, no arrests has been made but suspected the same syndicated group is responsible for the recent crimes in the area.

Mr Ntori appealed to the community members to be vigilant and report suspicious characters to the police.
