Police calls on Tema residents to come forward to identify robbers

Tema, Nov. 2, GNA – The Tema Regional Police Command will on Friday morning hold a parade to enable people who have fallen victims to armed robbery to come forward to identify the robbers arrested. A release issued by the Tema Police Public Affairs Unit, said 21 of 78 suspected armed robbers arrested in a swoop in the Tema Municipality and on the Accra-Akosombo, as well as Accra-Aflao highways. It said the police retrieved some mobile phones suspected to have been stolen from their victims and urged the public to muster courage and come to identify the criminals to ensure a fruitful operation so that they could be prosecuted.

The release however, warned that the identification parade is opened to only victims and a few selected police officers, who would be deployed to protect the victims.
