Police block UGAG demo

The Ghana Police Service has warned members of the Unemployed Graduates Association of Ghana (UGAG) to cancel their intended tour of the Ashanti Regional capital today.

The leadership of the association has served notice it will start its nationwide tour from Kumasi today.

The tour is to mobilize its members to register its displeasure to what it calls the current order.

Spokesperson of the association Desmond Biney in an interview with XYZ News the tour will be peaceful.

But the police say the intended tour cannot go on in view of the NDC Congress in the Ashanti Regional capital.

Corporal Godwin Ahianyo spokesperson for the Ashanti Regional Police Command said the Unemployment Graduates failed to inform the Police early.
