Police appeal to owners of impounded vehicles to report

Koforidua, Dec. 2, GNA – The Eastern Regional Police Command on Thursday appealed to owners of 15 vehicles which were impounded at Okorase near Suhum on November 15 to report at the Regional Police headquarters in Koforidua with their drivers.

A statement signed by Police Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, said the drivers who were carting illegal lumber abandoned the vehicles at Okorase on seeing a Special Task Force sent by the Eastern Regional Security Committee and took to their heels. The statement appealed to the vehicle owners to report on Tuesday December 07 to the Regional Crime Officer at Galloway in Koforidua at 0900 hours without fail.

The statement identified the vehicles as KIA Rhino AS 1634-09, KIA Rhino GT 3771-09, KIA Rhino AS 5880-09, KIA Rhino GT 3169-09 KIA Rhino AS 2530-09, MAN Diesel AS 668A, KIA Rhino GS 426-09 and KIA Rhino DV 6981 DV2 OLA10. The others include KIA Rhino GN 4452Y, MAN Diesel GT 1153 J, KIA Rhino, 9269 Y KIA GS 2079, MAN Diesel AS 4543 MAN Diesel WR 1605 W and GV 495 R. 02 Dec. 10
