The Chief Executive Officer of the EIB Network Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) has adopted a house at the SOS Village in Tema.

Mr. Adisi also presented assorted items and an amount of Gh¢15,000 to the management of the facility for the upkeep of the orphans. The adopted house has since been named Empire House.

Bola Ray, who is an ambassador for the SOS Village, has pledged to repeat the gesture in the near future.

Speaking to Starr News after the presentation, Mr. Adisi said his support for the children is to give them hope and inspire them to grow into responsible adults.

The National Director of SOS Villages Alexander Mar Kekula expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture and appealed for support to help them protect vulnerable children.

“Our programmes and activities are always tailored towards global goals and this year, we are even more committed to the achievement of the new Sustainable Development Goals that come to replace the Millennium Development Goals by adopting six out of the 17 global goals; precisely, Poverty Eradication, Good Health, Quality Education, Good Jobs and Economic Growth, Reducing Inequalities and Promoting Peace and Justice.

“I therefore appeal to all benevolent individuals and corporate bodies to join us on this journey towards ensuring a loving-home for each vulnerable child, as well as advocate for Child Rights and Protection nationwide. Together, we can work to provide care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Ghana. Help us ensure that vulnerable children grow up in a secured and caring family environment,” he stated.
