Philanthropist gives to Health Assistants’ Training School

Kokofu, Aug. 26, GNA – Mr Ben Ekuban, a philanthropist and an executive member of the Pan African Hope Centre in Canada, has presented computers and library books worth 1,050 Ghana cedis to the Health Assistants’ Training School at Kokofu in the Amansie East District of Ashanti.

He had earlier on made similar presentations to the Opoku Ware Girls Vocational Institute at Esreso, near Kumasi, AME Zion School and Anglican Senior High School, all in Kumasi. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Ekuban indicated that he had passion for quality education and was therefore, complementing the government’s efforts at providing quality education to every child of school going age.

He announced that plans were far advanced to establish a hospital with modern equipment at Kokofu, and appealed to the government to establish walk-in clinics, at strategic areas in the country where first aid would be administered to patients.

The queen of Kokofu, Nana Frema Otuobuo and Mrs Hagar Agyir, the Principal of the School, expressed gratitude to Mr Ekuban for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be used for the intended purposes.
