Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana mourns President Mills

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) has expressed shock over the sudden death of President John Fiifi Atta-Mills, which occurred on Tuesday at the 37 Military Hospital.

In a statement issued to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday, Dr. James Ohemeng Kyei, President of PSGH, said the country had lost a great and illustrious son and leader.

“As members of PSGH, we were touched by his promise of commitment to ensuring peaceful Presidential and Parliamentary elections in December,” he said.

Dr. Kyei expressed the hope that the new President, John Dramani Mahama would be equally committed to ensuring peace before, during and after the elections.

He suggested that the greatest tribute to paid in memory of the Late President Mills was to collectively work together to ensure a peaceful, free, fair and transparent election.

“Our hearts and thoughts are with his affable wife, Mrs. Naadu Mills, son, the entire family and Government during these difficult times,” he said.
