Peoples Assembly Exposes State Institutions-MP

The NDC Member of Parliament for Asawase Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka has submitted that the many questions raised at yesterday?s peoples Assembly in cape coast underscores the problems with state institutions tasked with various responsibilities.

According to him some of the questions which were put to the President should have been better handled by the institutions.

Speaking on this morning?s Daybreak Kapital hosted by Kojo Marfo, Alhaji Muntaka urged the government to work at correcting the defects so that those issues would be easily addressed at the institutional level. He suggested that the position of District, Municipal and Metropolitan Assembly chief executives should be made electoral.

Alhaji Muntaka called for more support for Parliament to enable it perform its duties effectively adding that no meaningful development can be achieved without a strengthened legislature. He said parliament forms an integral part of the country and should therefore be given the needed attention. Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka is the NDC Member of Parliament for Asawase
