Pensioners being under paid in Fanteakwa

Begoro, Nov. 15, GNA – The 2008 group of CAP 30 pensioners in the Fanteakwa District have expressed worry at the under payment of their pension gratuity. A spokesman for the pensioners, Mr Edward Victor Wiafe, told Ghana News Agency at Begoro that they were in active service during the salary increment for workers in 2008 but the increment did not reflect in their pension gratuity paid them. Mr Wiafe also complained about the failure of the Controller and Accountant General to pay them the second instalment of the salary arrears due to workers in September this year because their names were deleted from the payment voucher in August. He appealed to the Controller and Accountant General to work out all salary arrears due them and add it to their pension gratuity balance.
