Pedestrian killed by vehicle

Aflao, Sept. 13, GNA – An Urvan mini bus knocked down an unidentified woman at Aflao on Saturday.

The woman aged between 65 and 70 years, died hours later at the Aflao District Hospital.

She was walking on the flank of the road at about 1800 hours when the bus travelling from the Aflao border towards Denu, veered off the road onto the flank and knocked her down.

Mr Baba Moro, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in charge of crime at Aflao told the GNA that, the victim was immediately rushed to the district hospital but died hours later and the body is being kept in the mortuary, awaiting autopsy.

He said Mr. Daniel Adjei the driver in charge of the vehicle is assisting the police in their investigations into the accident.
